Spring

Hi all...
Spring is here and with it the lovely scent of manure greets me fresh from my garden...ha ha it really is great (thanks Steve) and I need to get inspired for some new jewelry designs. I have a project coming up the first of May for an auction. I am putting some earrings up for silent auction and I just sold 3 pairs, so my inventory is running a bit low and i would like some inspiration ! I also need to find a couple of display stands ...

My hubby and I just started an ebay store called Hots-n-Tots where we sell swimwear, clothing, and accessories for women and children. We are trying to find ways to supplement our income without me having to take an outside job...but ebay is slow business right now, at least for us. It seems that with the economy the way it is, people aren't in to spending money on designer handbags or high end swimsuits! :)

Sales

I am so excited ! I made 5 sales today! That is a record! Praise God! I am happy and enjoying this "work" He has given me to do...I am really trying to follow His leading and pray about every step I take....I am very thankful right now.

People really talk, I mean, it's true that the best advertising is word of mouth. For a long time I didn't really tell many people about it, or if I did, I just skimmed over b/c I am like that, the person who sits at the back of class so I don't draw any attention to myself, although I think I am starting to emerge...but once I started REALLY telling people to check out my website, my jewelry, that's when I started to get some business..duh. I am not a natural business woman or a salesman either.

Well, I gotta go be good to my man...and by that I mean give Jesse his bedtime bottle.
By the way, I need a good new book to read....

Open windows

Well, ever since I started this blog it seems as though God has been opening windows of opportunity! The word has been spreading about my products and web store, and I may be doing several different things now, such as fundraisers, and featuring my jewelry in a local craft store...I've also sold items this weekend which, sad as it may sound, is the first sale in 2 months! I have been expanding my line to include post earrings, and I 'v been playing around with vintage looks, buttons and old fashioned flowers...i love color and unique items! I had a good weekend but a busy one and I designed some new jewelry...I really don't want to get ahead of myself or God, though, as I come up with all of these marketing ideas and ways to sell - I don't want to jump ahead and than say, "Please bless my endeavors, Lord" I want to be in step with Him; neither falling behind or going ahead, but walking in step with Him and allowing Him to lead ...so often I seem to go ahead with my plans and than ask Him to help me or bless it, when I really should be allowing Him to lead...Well, got to put the kids down, it's naptime!

Updates!!

New Items!! i just updated etsy I had 6 new items to list...I am trying a new thing- charm bracelets. My mother in law suggested it because a lot of her co-workers wear them and she thought it could be fun...I just need some ideas, I made 3 already, but I need some other people's ideas of what they would like, preferences! They are fun to make, and the possibilities are endless...I would be happy to make custom bracelets also...Well, Ryan is on his way home from work and we are taking the fam to the hut...Pizza Hut, that is...yeah, we're dorks.

The picture at the top of the page is my daughter, Lilli Rae...She is my firstborn and she is a handful! But I am trying to raise her to love Jesus, and to be kind to her little sister and baby brother...I love being a Mom but it can be the hardest job...! I just want to do it right, you know? I don't want to mess it up and damage them, they are so precious and impressionable! I just put them all to bed ( I know, it's so late...) and there is finally peace and quiet in the house, it is so nice... well, gotta check my ebay and etsy..the computer is so addicting.
